NISSAN SHOWCASES ITS GLOBAL PREMIUM SUVS X-TRAIL & QASHQAI IN CHENNAI AT NISSAN MOVE BEYOND GOLF TOURNAMENT

Chennai, 10th January 2023: Nissan Motor India showcased its recently unveiled Global Premium SUVs X-Trail and Qashqai as part of its multi-city ‘Move Beyond Golf Tournament’ at Madras Gymkhana Club in Chennai. Ravichandran Ashwin, winner of nine Man of the Series awards in Test cricket, was a special guest at the event, doing the tee off and presenting the prizes.

The tournament, which caters to a group of over 100 customers, provides participants with a day of golf and an opportunity to experience Nissan’s global, premium SUVs.

Participants competed under multiple prize categories including Handicap Category Winners, Handicap Category Runner Up, Gross Winner, Gross Runner Up, and spot prizes such as Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, Nissan Powerful Drive Award, and Nissan Stylish Player Award.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, said, “The effort of organising the multi-city Nissan Move Beyond Golf Tournament and showcasing the premium global SUVs from Nissan, that are currently being tested in India, aims to provide an opportunity to engage with a diverse range of customers, foster brand recognition and loyalty, and let them experience our global offerings.”

In October last year, Nissan showcased its premium SUVs X-Trail, Qashqai, and Juke in India and announced launch plans. X-Trail and Qashqai are currently undergoing feasibility tests in and around Nissan’s facilities in Chennai to assess their suitability for the Indian market.

Nissan has confirmed that the X-Trail will be the first model introduced in India once testing concludes successfully.

The Nissan X-Trail is a premium SUV available in both 5-seater and 7-seater options and equipped with Nissan’s innovative e-POWER drivetrain.

The Nissan Qashqai, a segment-defining model with striking design, is available with two powertrain options — a 1.3-liter petrol mild hybrid (two output variants) and Nissan’s exclusive e-POWER technology.
