NISSAN MOTOR INDIA WHOLESALES 10,519 UNITS IN MARCH 2023
FY 2022-23: 23% YTD growth | 55% YTD export growth | Domestic & export sales increase in March

Gurugram, 1st April 2023: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) announced wholesale of 94,219 units for FY 2022-23, achieving a YTD growth of 23%, with domestic wholesales of 33,611 units and exports of 60,608 units. For March 2023, the company reported wholesale of 10,519 units, marking a 73% growth for the month. Domestic wholesale stood at 3,260 units, and exports totaled 7,259 units. In comparison, March 2022 reported domestic sales of 3,007 units and exports of 4,976 units.
The Nissan Magnite has been a game changer in its segment since launch, contributing significantly to Nissan’s growth in India. The 'Make in India, Make for the World' SUV has achieved over 1 lakh customer bookings across domestic and international markets. Designed in Japan and manufactured in India, the Magnite continues to be a preferred choice in the B-SUV segment. It has also received multiple awards, including the ICONIC Brand of the Year at the Dainik Jagran INext ICONIC Awards 2023.

Nissan recently showcased three premium SUVs for India, with the X-Trail expected to be the first to launch after local testing.”
To bring global Nissan products closer to customers, the company recently conducted the ‘Move Beyond Golf Tournament’ in Noida, Chennai, and Kolkata, showcasing premium SUVs such as the X-Trail and Qashqai. The initiative connected Nissan with premium customers across key markets.
In FY 2022-23, Nissan crossed the milestone of **1 million export units** under the philosophy ‘Make in India, Make for the World’. The Nissan Magnite marked the millionth export milestone and is currently shipped to 15 global markets including Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan exports vehicles from its Chennai plant to over 108 countries across the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia, SAARC, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Oceania. The company was recently honored by the Chennai Customs Office for Outstanding Contribution to Exports for FY 2022-23.
Ahead of the BS6 Stage 2 norms effective April 1, 2023, Nissan introduced the BS6 Stage 2 RDE-compliant Nissan Magnite. The 2023 Magnite now features standard safety improvements across all variants and carries a 4-star GNCAP safety rating.
India FY 2023-24 Outlook: Nissan Motor India is entering its next phase with a planned investment of USD 600 million (₹5,300 crore), as announced by Nissan’s Global COO Ashwani Gupta. The company will introduce three new models, including two C-segment SUVs and one A-segment EV. Nissan has officially ended production of the KICKS, which has reached the natural end of its lifecycle, but continues to ensure strong aftersales, service, parts, and warranty support through its nationwide dealership network.
