Gurugram, 1st May 2023: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has announced wholesales of 3249 units for the month of April 2023. Domestic wholesales stood at 2617 units, while export wholesales stood at 632 units.
Nissan Motor India had recently announced YTD sales growth of 23% for FY 2022-23, with YOY March growth of 8% for domestic sales and now 24% YOY domestic growth in April 2023, continuing the positive momentum into the next fiscal year 2023-24.
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, commented, “The positive momentum continues on the strength of the game-changing Big, Bold, Beautiful Nissan Magnite, which has garnered over 1 lakh customer bookings. Our focus continues to be the domestic market while continuously expanding our global footprint of exports to more than 15 countries. Going forward, we see customer sentiment remaining positive on account of GDP growth and normal monsoon, with industry projections of high single-digit growth for FY2023-24.”
Nissan operates on a PHYGITAL distribution approach to meet evolving customer needs by offering a hassle-free, one-stop solution. This integrated offline-online approach ensures a seamless and convenient experience, including online payment options accessible at the customer's preferred showroom.
In April, Nissan expanded its customer touchpoints by opening two new showrooms and workshops in Karnal (Haryana) and Khammam (Telangana). With these additions, Nissan’s network has grown to 267 touchpoints across India, significantly contributing to its continuous growth in the country.
The Big, Bold, and Beautiful Nissan Magnite is exported to 15 global markets, with the latest launches in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan India has shifted its primary export markets from Europe to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Ahead of BS6 Stage 2 norms coming into effect on April 1, 2023, Nissan introduced a BS6 Stage 2 RDE-compliant version of the Magnite in February and March. The Magnite carries a GNCAP 4-star rating with best-in-class safety features offered as standard across all variants.
